Spoke Tension Meter

A properly tensioned wheel is stronger and stays true longer. The TM-1 Spoke Tension Meter is an essential tool for achieving proper tension and belongs on the workbench of anyone building or truing wheels, diagnosing wheel problems, or assembling new bikes.

- The TM-1 readings help estimate the relative tension of a wheel's spokes, identifying areas with high or low tension. Using the included printed table or the Park Tool Wheel Tension App, these measurements can be converted to kilograms-force to calculate the overall tension of a wheel and ensure it is at the proper level. The Wheel Tension App also features interactive tools to help visualize and analyze various data based on the TM-1's readings.

- The TM-1 provides accurate kilogram-force readings for nearly any bicycle spoke, regardless of material, diameter, or shape. It includes a spoke gauge to quickly determine six of the most common round spoke diameters. Additional measuring tools may be required to determine the dimensions of bladed spokes.
